Stemming OT-1
Stemming OT-1
The OT-1 stemming is designed for tight filling of blast holes before detonation of the explosive, for safer and more effective blasting work.
It is used for loading blast holes, both traditional (manual) and pneumatic (using the NP-2 type blaster and HDPE type loading hose).
The product has a positive technical opinion of the Central Mining Institute.
PLACE OF APPLICATION:
The OT-1 stemming may be used in all underground mines with coal dust or methane explosion hazards, in open cast mines, and in all demolition works with the use of explosives.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
Used in a blast hole, the stemming inhibits the flame of the detonating explosive and prevents the premature release of the detonation products from the hole. This is particularly important in the mines at risk of coal dust or methane explosion.
It is made of paper coated with polyethylene to protect against moisture, with a filling of a plasticized clay mass.
