Blast hole stopper SOS-1 , SOS–2
The blast hole stopper is designed to support single cartridges or columns of explosives in the blast hole to prevent them from slipping out of the blast hole on their own. It can be used both as the end of the explosive column and as an intermediate element in the charging process.
The product has a positive technical opinion of the Central Mining Institute.
PLACE OF APPLICATION:
The product can be used in underground and open cast mines.
The SOS-1 is suitable for blast holes up to 45 mm in diameter, while the SOS-2 is suitable for blast holes up to 76 mm in diameter.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
The blast hole stopper is inserted into the inclined and vertical holes behind the column of explosive and stemming to protect it from slipping out of the blast hole.
The stopper is inserted into the hole with its base and its crown is wedged.
The design of the stopper allows free and safe removal of the detonating cord from the blast hole.
